If you only glaze part of a painting, will harmony be disrupted?

Last updated on 14 Apr, 2022

You can certainly use glazes on just sections of your painting. Just like differences of scale or texture, you can have differences in your art - some areas being glazed and therefore showing harmonized colors, offset by areas that are not glazed and not harmonized. In other words, to show off harmonized colors we can place unrelated color in and around them.
